‘NHL GAME A GOOD ONE ‘

Dear reader

Looking forward to the upcoming NHL game in Ottawa this February! As a Chicago Blackhawk fan, we have three players going in. Patick Sharp ( injured) M. Hossa, and Patrick Kane representing Chicago!

Not to take away any other player going. Teams such as the St.Louis Blues, Nashville, Canucks, Kings, and the San Jose Sharks too. Improvement brought them a long way from last to first. CA. State for example, always has great sport teams there.

This gives players the chance to prove themselves and for teams to gain name and maybe show case players for trade. Rebuild or playoff run. Any event, this game will be a good one as are the Winter Classic Games early in the new year. Or ya, Go Hawks and Chicago Bulls!

I don’t plug U- Tube stuff but credit is credit due for this U -Tube pick called ‘ FUNNY DOG TAKING ABOUT FOOD.’ Please watch this. The master is talking to the dog about food and the pup looks as if he understand what is said and answering him. Will put a smile on your face. Very cute. Also see the Elvis and Lisa Marie piece ‘In The Getto’ Well done also!

In this writer’s opinion, nice to see good stuff on the net that is cute but even educational in general such as finding out a cooking idea to a medical problem one may have. Nice to have positive not bad stuff that is hurtful to anyone.

‘ I REMEMBER MAGGIE DALEY.’

I write today to note the passing of Maggie Daley the wife of mayor Daley on Thanksgiving. Even though she was in the background of her husband, Mrs. Daley was hard at work on helping children and youth get a better education with cultural programs and after school events. She worked hard even in pain without a complaint. Like all the Daley’s made a mark in Chicago such as Mayor Richard J. Daley. She will well missed.

‘ INTERESTING PIECE ON SINGER VINCE GILL AND ELVIS.’

A interesting story I found in the Parade section of the Chicago Tribune about country singer Vince Gill and his interview called. ‘SUNDAY WITH VINCE GILL.’ He speaks about his induction into the Country Music Hall Of Fame and his first new album in five years, Guitar Slinger. He has decided to retire and spend more time with his wife Amy Grant of gospel music and pop fame. Here are some questions thrown at him. A good clean guy.

P-
Guitar Slinger is the first album you recorded in Nashville. What was that like?

V.G.- I got to take most of it barefoot found this bust of Elvis in storage, I’m going to put it front and center so he can oversee the recording process from now on. I really like the guy but I love the humor in it too. I have a velvet Elvis hanging in the garage.

P- What is your favorite breakfast?
V.G. Pizza. I think pizza with vegetables is kind of oxymoron.

P- if you had to choose: musician or pro golfer?

‘ANOTHER GONE FROM C.S.I.’

Dear readers

Well as the song goes, ‘Another one bits the dust.’ I mean that Larry Fishburne had left C.S.I for other work and a movie deal. His replacement is Ted Danson Of ‘CHEERS’ fame? Just as a person begins to grow on me, he or she is gone. Think we were looking at ‘LAW IN ORDER’ show? People come and go. Go Figure?

‘REMEMBERING THOSE LOST ON 9-11.’

Interesting story from the Chicago Tribune (Sunday) on folk who made it out on 9-11 and their stories and a tribute to those lost including firefighters and police who went in to save others. The new setting will include a reflecting pond, 9-11 museum, victim remembrance, and many trees. God bless and a big tip of the hat is in order to all and the brave P.D. and firefighters!

‘DISCOVERING ELVIS WEB PAGE.’

A very interesting web page for the new generation that came after Elvis left the building.’ It has blogs, fan pages, and other interesting links that for Elvis fans out there. On another note, after a long vacation, Shania Twain will be in Los Vegas at the new Colosseum Caesars Palace in 2012 . I don’t plug people and shows but this writer feel Shania Twain is a very beautiful woman indeed! Why a man would divorce her is nuts at best! Vegas need a draw like it did in the hay date. Hope it goes well for her.

‘JOHN PAUL THE SAINT.’

Dear friend

On May 5th Pope John Paul will become a Saint by Pope Benedict and the Catholic Church. John Paul was a beloved person who did many good deeds to help people. The reason he is honored. For example, helping the poor, getting people to get back to church, help President Reagan end Soviet rule in East Germany and the East, Cured the ill, and forgave a would be killer who almost had success. Started as an actor then a priest. Helped Jewish people get away from Nazi power in World War II. The pope passed away in April 2005. In this writer’s opinion, He deserves the honor and is the best pope of popes in our life time! I will be taping this event as it is special. See more on this story at

‘ELIZABETH TAYLOR LAID TO REST PRIVATELY.’

LosAngeles- Actress Elizabeth Taylor was given a small private funeral service Thursday a day after she died of congestive heart failure police said. the Oscar-winning actress, 79 was laid to rest at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale outside LA. The same places were her close friend Michael Jackson was buried in 2008.

Glendale P.D. said the service was family only with three dozen attending. Taylor who married eight times is survived by four children, 10 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Her representative did not return calls for a comment. They said Wesdnesday that details of a public memorial would be announced later.

Forest Lawn is the burial-place of many other celebrities including Clark Gable, Jean Harrow, Walt Disney, and Burno VeSota. Lorenz said Taylor was interred in the great mausoleum, but not next to Jackson.
